Yasser el-Korany

Contemporary Egyptian artist Yasser el-Korany

Artist Yasser el-Korany started his art career already in his youth years and won an art prize at the middle school. After finishing university, he worked in the field of decoration and mural painting together with his older brother, artist Ibrahim el-Korany, who was a teacher and guide to him.

Later on, Yasser moved to the UAE, where he again worked as a decorator and muralist. However, he missed his Egyptian homeland so much that he came back after less than one year.

Back in Egypt, Yasser started to focus on modern art and painted subjects of his neighbourhood and the Egyptian folkloric life.

Down to the present day, Yasser el-Korany joined many group exhibitions. His artworks can be found at the Egyptian House of Representatives as well as at numerous upper-class Egyptian and Kuwaiti homes.
